The Department of Conformity Assessment, which is a structural division of the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute, has been accredited in accordance with the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17065 international standard as a certification body for products, works and services since 14.07.2017.
According to the rules of the National certification system, the Department operates in the direction of certification of production, import and export of food and agricultural, industrial products, as well as service areas.
The certification activity is one of the objective requirements of the market economy and in accordance with the requirements of international and interstate standards, it has the important goals of determining the compliance of the products and services provided to consumers with the requirements of relevant regulatory documents based on the principles of objectivity, transparency and impartiality, and as a result, achieving customer satisfaction. In this regard, the main functions of the Conformity Assessment Department are as follows:
awareness in order to prevent the presence of products (processes, services) on the market that pose a direct and significant threat to human life or health, the environment and property interests of the state or cause significant damage;
assistance to consumers in the competent selection of products (processes, services);
to create conditions for participation of republican enterprises and entrepreneurs in international economic, scientific and technical cooperation and international trade.
