Certification is a means of providing assurance to all interested parties that a product, process or service meets specified requirements. The role of certification is a degree of trust and confidence established by an unbiased and authoritative demonstration of the fulfillment of the requirements specified by a third party. Certification of products, processes or services guarantees their compliance with the requirements specified in standards and other normative documents.
The certification activity is one of the objective requirements of the market economy and in accordance with the requirements of international, interstate and national standards, it has the important goals of determining the compliance of the products and services provided to consumers with the requirements of relevant regulatory documents based on the principles of objectivity, transparency and impartiality, and as a result, achieving customer satisfaction.
Certification of products and services performs the following functions:
• awareness in order to prevent the presence of products (processes, services) in the market that pose a direct and significant threat to human life or health, the environment and property interests of the state or cause significant damage;
• assistance to consumers in the competent selection of products (processes, services);
• To create conditions for the participation of enterprises and entrepreneurs in the republic in international economic, scientific and technical cooperation and international trade.
