On June 7, 2022, an economic-trade mission and a joint business forum involving commodity producers of the Republic of Kazakhstan were convened in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the course of the business forum, a formal agreement on cooperation in the realm of standardization was executed between the "Azerbaijan Standardization Institute" PLE (AZSTAND) and the Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology (KazStandart).
Pursuant to the terms of the agreement, the national standardization institutions of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan possess the authority to reciprocally acknowledge, implement, and translate the state standards of both countries, orchestrate the dissemination of their official publications, and authorize their utilization.
Subsequent to the signing of the agreement, a meeting transpired at the administrative premises of AZSTAND with Mr. Gabit Muhambetov, the Director of the Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology. During this meeting, comprehensive insights were presented concerning the quality infrastructure of Kazakhstan, and discussions ensued pertaining to matters of shared interest.
