The representative of AZSTAND participated in the meeting of ISO Technical Committee "Artificial Intelligence" (TC 42).

The representative of the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND) attended the meeting of the Technical Committee ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42 "Artificial Intelligence" (TC 42) within the framework of the sponsorship program of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which was held in the South Korean Republic, Seoul City.

The plenary session, which took place from April 22to 26, which was chaired by the Korean Agency was chaired by the Korean Agency for Technology and Standardization (KATS) was attended by representatives from the standardization bodies of Germany, Austria, the USA, the UK, Bulgaria, China, the Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Switzerland, India, France, Canada, Luxembourg, Morocco, Portugal, Poland, Singapore, Uganda, Turkiye, Japan and other countries, as well as representatives from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Standards Association (IEEE) and experts from related fields in which artificial intelligence is used.

During the meeting the references and proposals of the Committee's member countries with regard to international standards were discussed and the projects were voted on. In addition, the committee selected new members to form a new working group in the field of artificial intelligence.

At the meeting, the new standard projects proposed by WG1“Foundatinal Standards”, WG2 “Data” and WG 5 “Computational Approaches and Computational Properties of AI Systems” were adopted. The member of AZSTAND was added to the list of appointed experts for the planned standards.

Note that the International Technical Committee for Standardization of “Artificial Intelligence” (ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42) was established by ISO in 2017 with the aim of identifying the international requirements and criteria.

In general, the committee has developed 27 international standards and 33 standardization projects. Today, 9 specific and 6 joint working groups of the committee are active.
