A new state standard AZS OIC/SMIC 10:2023 “Saffron (Crocus sativus L.)- Specifications and test methods" has been adopted by the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND) which operates under the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Supervision under the Ministry of Economy.
The new state standard was adopted to determine the properties of dried saffron obtained from the clove of the saffron flower.
The new state standard was discussed by the Technical Committee “Quality and Technology of Food” (AZSTAND/TK 33) and, after approval, was included in the State Fund of Standardization.
