Representatives of the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND), operating under the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control of the Republic of Azerbaijan, participated in the 40th Plenary Meeting of the International Organization for Standardization’s Committee on Conformity Assessment (ISO/CASCO).
The Azerbaijani delegation was represented by Ms. Kamala Mammadzada, Deputy Director of AZSTAND, along with other representatives of the institution.
The plenary meeting brought together representatives of national standardization bodies and experts in the field of conformity assessment, service systems, and management systems from numerous countries, including Japan, China, Greece, France, the United States, Romania, India, Kazakhstan, Bahrain, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Jamaica, Mexico, Malaysia, Oman, Germany, Egypt, Ghana, Colombia, Ecuador, the Russian Federation, Argentina, Kenya, the Republic of Korea, the Netherlands, Italy, and several other countries.
During the meeting, participants were informed about the latest developments and revisions to international standards in the field of conformity assessment, as well as future perspectives and priority areas related to their implementation.
In addition, discussions focused on digitalization processes, the application of innovative approaches in conformity assessment activities, and the presentation of an electronic learning platform together with guidance materials on its use.

The committee develops and approves international standards, guidance documents, and policies related to conformity assessment for products, services, processes, and management systems, ensuring compliance with internationally recognized requirements.
