AZSTAND Representatives Participate in International Seminar on Climate Change Adaptability

Representatives from the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND), operating under the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control of the Republic of Azerbaijan, participated in an international seminar titled “Standardization of Enhancing Adaptability to Climate Change for Developing Countries”. The seminar took place in the cities of Chengdu and Shenzhen, People's Republic of China.
The seminar, jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce(MOFCOM) of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, the State Administration on Trade Balance, the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO), and the Institute of Chengdu, aimed to promote the adaptation of countries to climate change and foster international cooperation in this field.
Key topics discussed at the seminar included China’s green certification system for products, climate change adaptation strategies, and standards for the automotive industry in the context of climate change. Additionally, the seminar addressed the development of sustainable bamboo product manufacturing to replace plastic products, the fundamentals of international standardization, and long-term development strategies. Participants also engaged in discussions on the classification, specifications, and current advancements in climate change-related technologies and standards.
The practical segment of the seminar featured a Q&A session, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage with experts and exchange insights. At the conclusion of the seminar, certificates were presented to all participants.
