Azerbaijan Standardization Institute, which operates under the State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Market Control, has obtained the right to publish the official publications of the standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) within the country's territory.
A cooperation agreement has been signed between the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), an internationally recognized organization that voluntarily develops and publishes standards for materials, products, systems, and services.
In accordance with the terms of the agreement, AZSTAND, as the national standardization body, has acquired the right to disseminate the official publications of ASTM standards within the country. The application of ASTM standards in Azerbaijan will contribute to the enhancement of the quality of products manufactured domestically, services provided, and related processes in various sectors such as metallurgy, paint, plastic, textile, oil and oil products, construction, energy, electronics, environmental protection, consumer goods, computer systems, medical services, and many more.
Note: The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), established in 1898, is an international organization that develops and publishes voluntary standards for materials, products, systems, and services. Currently, over 12,800 ASTM standards are applied worldwide.
