The Certification Body of the Management Systems of the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND), operating under the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has been officially accredited by the Accreditation Centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan (O`ZAKK).
This accreditation follows a successful audit conducted by O`ZAKK in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 – Conformity assessment — Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems. Part 1: Requirements. As a result, AZSTAND’s fields of accreditation has been significantly expanded.
The enhanced accreditation now authorizes AZSTAND to provide certification services in accordance with the following international standards: ISO 9001:2015 “Quality Management Systems. Requirements”, ISO 14001:2015” Environmental Management Systems. Requirements with guidance for use”, ISO 45001:2018 “Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems — Requirements with guidance for use”, ISO 22000:2018 “Food Safety Management Systems — Requirements for any organization in the food chain”
With this expanded scope of accreditation, AZSTAND is now positioned to offer internationally recognized certification services in the fields of chemistry and food safety. This development strengthens the capacity of national institutions to meet international standards, enhances their competitiveness, and supports the growth of export potential.
Note: The Accreditation Centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan (O`ZAKK) is the national authority responsible for accrediting conformity assessment bodies. Since 2020, O`ZAKK has been a member of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), ensuring that its accreditation decisions are recognized and trusted at the international level.
