The Representatives of AZSTAND Participated in the International Seminar on “Standardization of Clean Energy for Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO)”

    Representatives of the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND), operating under the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control of the Republic of Azerbaijan, took part in the international seminar titled “Standardization of Clean Energy for Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), held in Chengdu, People’s Republic of China.

The seminar provided comprehensive information on China’s development strategies in the field of international standardization, including its working procedures, regulatory frameworks, laws, technical standardization systems, and mechanisms for international cooperation.

Participants engaged in discussions on the classification of clean energy technologies, their technical specifications, current state of development, evaluation criteria, and applicable standards in the clean energy sector.

As part of the seminar, several site visits were organized to leading production facilities, including Shanghai International Port (Group) Co., Ltd. (SIPG), Goodbaby International Holdings Ltd., Tianwei Biotech Group Co., Ltd., and CATL, allowing participants to familiarize themselves with advanced technologies and industrial practices.

During the practical sessions, participants had the opportunity to ask questions of interest. At the conclusion of the seminar, certificates were awarded to all participants.

Note: SCO was established in 2001 and currently comprises nine member states: India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the People’s Republic of China, Russia, Tajikistan, Iran, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan. The Republic of Azerbaijan holds the status of "Dialogue Partner" within the Organization. The SCO aims to foster good-neighborly relations, strengthen mutual trust and friendship, and promote effective cooperation across various sectors, including efforts to ensure regional peace, stability, and security.
